Surface Engineering Materials

The Surface Engineering Materials Division of Desai is dedicated to the independent research, development, and production of environmentally friendly, chromium-free passivators. The product was completed in 2007 and, following expert evaluation in 2010, was recognized as meeting international advanced standards. It is the first domestically developed product to be deployed on a large scale at major steel mills, filling a domestic gap and breaking the product monopoly held by developed countries such as Japan and Germany in this field.

In 2013, Desai’s chromium-free fingerprint‑resistant passivation agent was designated as a key project under the National Revitalization Plan; in 2014, it received both the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the National Green Manufacturing Science and Technology Progress Award. The product has significantly reduced operating costs for steel mills, accelerated the environmentally friendly substitution of conventional processes in the production of high‑end galvanized sheet, and is widely used in home appliances, automobiles, transportation infrastructure, photovoltaic mounting systems, and other sectors, delivering substantial social and economic benefits.

Shipment

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided with each batch, and the shelf life under recommended storage conditions is 3 to 12 months.
